This sweet boy lost his first balloon to the sky today!🎈
He looked out the window for a while waiting for it to come back. I told him that the angels have it now. 💫
What did you tell your baby when they lost their first balloon??

Current obsession: Puzzles!! (And anything on wheels 🚗🏎🚚🏍🚜🚌). He blows me away with his attention to detail.
What are your toddlers currently obsessed with?? And, has anyone else resigned themselves to the fact that their house will be clean in 20 years? 😳😫🌪

They say that when you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. 💫
Well, I wake up every day eager to check my inbox, my accountability groups, collaborate with my team and our leaders. I'm always excited to participate in training calls, to continue to learn, grow and be challenged. And, to be a hands on part of raising this incredible human. ❤️
Today on the to do list: first photo booth ✔️

Tablets and toddlers; among the list of things I "wasn't going to do" before becoming a parent.
Oh man has that list of things changed 😂
What was something you swore you weren't going to do until it became your reality??

Momboss (n): a woman who is raising babies, and a business. 👊🏼
We spent the morning setting goals, planning content, and establishing the foundation for a clear VISION in 2017 and beyond. All while these two nuts built trains, listened to jams and acted like human tornados 🌪

My Monday mornings didn't always look like this. 🎨
Just a few short months ago, they involved an early morning hustle, a long commute, followed an 8 hour workday. 🚗
I'll choose this any day. ❤️

People ask us often how we get our 2 year old to eat a balanced diet. The answer is simple:
He's 2. There are days that he sustains life off of peanut butter and bananas. 🙈
We don't ➡️ Play the "clean plate club" game, and we don't make him eat anything that he doesn't like just because it is good for him.
👆🏼THIS is how picky eaters are made. 👆🏼
We do ➡️ Fill his plate with a variety of small choices (typically what we are eating, deconstructed), and we encourage him to try everything.
Does it always work? No.
Do we have to sometimes bribe him with lollipops? Yes.
Do I allow myself to lose sleep over it? No.
I will just continue to be a positive role model, and, hopefully while he still thinks I'm cool, he will follow suit.

Every day, Chris and I have the overwhelming responsibility to teach this sweet boy the foundation of everything he needs to know in this life.
We hope to teach him to be kind, to have good manners, to be unselfish. To understand the value of hard work and collaboration. We strive to encourage creativity in all that he does, and laughter in every day. We hope to instill the value of true friendship and of family. And the importance of giving back. We must remind ourselves daily that he is learning in every moment, through every experience, through every observation. And that if he is loved, he will love. ❤️
Man. What an awesomely huge task.

Well Colorado, that's a wrap. 🏔
Thank you for your snow capped peaks, your trails, your views and your wildlife. Thank you for your massive rocks, your wild sage filled plains and your golden aspens.
Most of all, thank you for providing a place to gather with old friends and new, in your big natural playground.
Until next time.. 💫

While Chris went for round 2 in the tent, and Ziggy and I went for round 1 in a hotel room 😎.
We cozied up and spent the morning putting final touches on our New Coach Academy, free 3 week yoga retreat support group, and getting everyone set up in our challenge group!!
If you are interested in learning more about any of these, it's not too late! New month, new beginnings, exciting things happening

Today, we hiked 1,000 vertical feet to this ridge. Chris taught me about Avalanche chutes, and we taught Ziggy why grasshoppers chirp. We played with snow, shot some incredible photographs, had a picnic lunch among the yellow aspens.
This moment made possible by a strong desire to be more present in my life with the people who matter most. And, I'm a woman on a mission to helping others find the same freedom.

Fun facts:
🏔Chris and I met in Crested Butte, CO, but are both from Pittsburgh, PA.
👫We just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary.
✈️Tomorrow, we are headed back to the Centennial State to celebrate the nuptials of friends, to play and to explore.
🏕 Two of those nights will be spent like this. I was worried about Ziggy escaping until I couldn't figure out how to get out 😂
Any tips on tent camping with a toddler welcome.

This time last year, I was waking up at 5am to workout, rush out the door for a 30 minute commute, just to work an 8 hour day and commute 40 minutes home. I would pick up Ziggy, play or run errands for an hour, before it was time to cook dinner, unpack bags, repack bags, eat dinner, shower, book, bed routine. I would check in with my challengers and my team before mentally preparing to repeat this grind tomorrow.
I decided I would change that.
So now, we can take a 12 day vacation in September. We leave Thursday. 💃🏻 Today, I chose to send Ziggy to a caretaker for the day so that I could update my blog, collaborate on updating our New Coach Academy, prepare upcoming challenge group content, and squeeze in a mid day yoga sesh. I picked Ziggy up early this afternoon, in my yoga pants, and we hung out in the yard with Chris after sharing dinner. We went for a walk. We got ice cream (because, #balance). And I'm not stressed about tomorrow.
Why would I settle for the first scenario when I could have the second?? #youcantoo

I was in labor for 32 hours before Ziggy came. Between that and the whirlwind of adjusting at home those first few days were exciting, full of a million emotions, and flat out exhausting.
They have you take the babe to the pediatrician a few days after they are born to be sure they are adjusting well to being earth side. Chris and I sat in the waiting room, completely disheveled, completing our paperwork. We got to the part where they ask for the parent info and we, naturally, began filling in our parent's names. It wasn't until we reached the part where it asked for SSN that we realized that WE were the parents. 😂😂
And, we've continued to figure it out as we go and have laughed a lot since.

When you wake up with a strange little man in your bed 😂
But seriously, I remember having to get up and out the door each morning regardless of how the night went. My schedule now allows us to have slow mornings after long nights. How awesome is that?!
September 8 ·
Well, this beautiful human began preschool today!Chris and I were able to drop him off together this morning, I worked on new coach training videos all morning, and I picked him up his afternoon. What a huge change from this time last year 😍
I built this freedom while working full time, opposite hours than Chris, in one hour a day.
Did I have to make a few sacrifices? Sure. Was it worth it? In more ways than you know. #youcantoo

When I asked Chris for a napkin at dinner, Ziggy jumped up, gave everyone a napkin, and proceeded to ask us to help him put his on his lap.
I think we are doing something right.

This sweet boy is 2.5 today.
He's busy, he's quirky, he's smart and funny. He's determined, fast and witty. He's my blonde haired, blue eyed partner in crime. He has changed our lives in so many ways. People ask us all the time if we remember what life was like before him (um....weekends involving late brunch with mimosas...yes, we remember 😉). But we can't really imagine a day moving forward without him.
Happy day, Ziggy. ❤️🎈
